Description
Whoopie sling ultralight hammock suspension system. These ropes can be used to replace an existing carabiner system. “The Whoopie sling system is one of the easiest and most easily adjustable ways to hang a hammock. It is a system that weighs just 70 grams and can hold up to 740 kilograms. The system includes:
1. Tree straps – wide straps that wrap around the tree to protect and preserve the bark of the tree;
2. Whoopie sling – a rope that allows you to adjust the tension of the hammock down to the millimetres;
3. Soft shackle – a better alternative to carabiners. Why? Unlike with carabiners, you don’t have to worry about the material getting caught in the carabiner’s tooth and damaging the material when packing the hammock. Plus it’s lighter, prettier (although I don’t argue about taste, of course) and more comfortable than a carabiner. Made from Dyneema® rope, the world’s strongest man-made fibre. Dyneema® fibre is 15 times stronger than steel of the same weight. Features:
– 2.5 mm rope
– holds up to 740 kg
– 2 ropes ~ 80 g
– maximum length per rope = 180 cm whoopie + 150 cm tree strap
Ropes are suitable for:
