A Modular Upgrade for the Gilis Hammock
The Gilis Top Cover replaces the standard bug net and transforms your hammock into a more weather-resistant cold-season shelter.
Instead of leaving the hammock interior fully open, the cover blocks wind and traps warm air created by your body, creating a warmer microclimate inside the hammock.
This makes it possible to comfortably use your hammock in colder conditions without significantly increasing pack weight.

Increase Warmth Inside the Hammock
In field use, the top cover can increase perceived warmth inside the hammock by up to approximately 7 °C.
The cover traps the heat naturally produced by your body and reduces heat loss caused by wind exposure.
This often allows the use of lighter insulation or simply improves overall comfort during colder nights.
Actual temperature improvement depends on conditions, insulation setup, and personal cold tolerance.

Easy Installation
The top cover attaches directly to the Gilis hammock in place of the bug net.
Simply unclip the net and attach the cover using the same connection points.
This makes switching between summer and cold-weather configurations fast and simple.
Condensation-Reducing Design
The cover includes a small integrated mesh gap that helps manage airflow inside the hammock.
This ventilation helps reduce condensation while still maintaining a warmer internal environment.
The fabric itself is wind-resistant yet breathable, helping maintain comfort through the night.
